The Second Day of the New Year 2016. And it has been a bad day for Indian Citizen. There was a terrorist attack today morning in the Indian Air Force Base. The Attack was one of the major attacks happened in last 15 years. Why? What? Nobody knows about it. But the death count has been given, it is low in numbers but if we count the facts, it’s massive. Intelligence inputs had warned about a possibility of an attack at Pathankot which is a key air base for MiG-21 Bison fighters and Mi-35 attack helicopters.

What has been done till now?

Our Indian Defence Minister (Manohar Parrikar) met with the three Service Chiefs, the intelligence Chiefs and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. This High Level meeting was regarding the terror strike at Punjab’s Pathankot, which started before dawn today.

The search for the surviving terrorist has been expanded in the areas of Pathankot, since the number of terrorist involved in the attack is still unclear. The mastermind or the main suspect behind the terror attack was Jaish-e-Mohammed. The main motive of the terrorist were to blow up the Helicopters stationed at the base

Should we call it a reply for the surprise visit of Indian PM Narendra Modi’s. Indian Home minister Rajnath Singh said, “We want good ties with Pakistan but a befitting reply will be given to any terror attack.”

The entrance used by the terrorists was a drain that meets the Nalwa Bridge canal that is adjoining to the air base. The plan was a good one, on 1st Jan they hijacked the car of the Superintendent of Police of Gurdaspur, and got the military uniform.
