A National Level management entrance examination which is conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs). The number of aspirants in 2013 was around 1.94 lac, which increased to 2.32 Lac in 2016.

It is a Pen and Paper-based and test and also computer-based test from which a student can choose the format of writing an exam. SNAP 2016 Registration Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the examination, only they can apply for the SNAP 2016 Registration.

Education/ Qualification: The candidates must be completed their graduation from any reputed university with 50% marks (for SC/ST candidates 45 %)

  • If the candidates have passed their qualifying exam from Foreign University, they must obtain an equivalence certificate from the AIU.
  • Foreign National (FN), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates are also can apply.
  • The candidates who have completed their qualifying degree from any foreign university or the institution must obtain the equivalent certificate from the AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

SNAP 2016 Registration Process

  • Candidates can apply for the SNAP exam only through online mode.
  • The SNAP 2016 Application Form will available from 22nd August 2016 on the official website.
  • The candidates have to pay registration fee Rs. 1500/- and candidates can pay it through the credit card and net banking or by cash through the bank challan of Axis Bank or Indian Banking favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.
  • The candidates have to submit all the documents or the latest scanned colored photograph in the registration form
  • After completing the application form take the printout of it and the payment details. After that send all with  the Challan or DD to the address given below

SNAP 2016 Exam Pattern

  • No of Questions: The exam paper contains total 180 multiple choice questions.
  • Type of Exam Paper: Each question contains four choices; candidates have to select one correct answer among them.
  • Marking Scheme: Each correct answer contains 1 mark and there will be negative marking of 25% for any incorrect answer.
  • Time Duration: The time duration of examination will be 2 hours
  • NOTE: Candidates can use only blue or black ball point pen to answer.

For Primary Teacher (Class I to V):

  1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR

  • Step 1: Download the information bulletin and read it carefully to ensure your eligibility.
  • Step 2: Keep the Scanned Images of your Photograph, Signature and Left Hand Thumb Impression ready in JPG format only.
  • Step 3: Make sure you fill all the correct details in the Online Application Form.

Important Dates of NIFT Entrance Exam 2016:-

Official dates are announced as per the below given schedule:

  • Online registration starts: 20th Oct. 2015
  • Online registration closed: 10th Jan. 2016
  • Online registration closed (with late fee as Rs.5000/-): 16th Jan. 2016
  • Admit card issue: 21st Jan. 2016
  • NIFT examination hold on: 14th Feb. 2016
  • Date of GD and PI: April – May 2016

The candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before filling up the application form as mentioned below.

For Bachelor Programmes

  • Age Limit– The maximum age of the candidate applying for the examination should be 23 years as on 1st 2015.
  • The candidates should have passed 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized education board or university.
  • The candidates appearing for the examination must have taken Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th

GATE 2016 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who are currently in the final year and the candidates who have already completed B.E/ B,Tech/ B.Pharmacy/ B.Arch/ M.Sc/ M.A/ MCA from any recognized university are eligible to apply for GATE 2016 Exam.

GATE 2016 Application Fee:

  • Women candidates Rs. 750
  • SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates Rs. 750
  • All other candidates Rs. 1500

GATE 2016 Admit Card Release Date:

Admit Card can only be downloaded from the GATE portal tentatively from 17th December 2015.

GATE 2016 Exam Pattern:

GATE examination consists of a single paper of 3-hour duration that contains 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. It will consist of both multiple choice questions (MCQ) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions.

GATE 2016 Question Papers:

There will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks will be on General Aptitude (GA).

The codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE,  PI, TF and XE, the Engineering Mathematics will carry around 15% of the total marks, the General Aptitude section will carry 15% of the total marks and the remaining 70% of the total marks is devoted to the subject of the paper.

Question Types in Exam 2016:

  1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) carrying 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. Each question will have a choice of four answers, out of which the candidate has to mark the correct answer.
  2. Numerical Answer Questions of 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. For these questions the answer is a real number, to be entered by the candidate using the virtual keypad.

GATE 2016 Results:

GATE 2016 results will be announced on March 19, 2016 at 17:00 hours and will be available on the GATE Online Application Website. GATE 2016 score is valid for 3 years.

GATE 2016 score cards can be downloaded between March 27, 2016 to May 29, 2016 and for that the candidate should access the GOAPS portal.
