SSC CGL Syllabus & Pattern

There are majorly four sections (General Awareness, Reasoning, English and Quantitative Aptitude) which are asked in both Tier 1 and Tier 2. The English section syllabus is diverse for Tier 1 and Tier 2, rest all the remaining sections are the same for Tier 1 as well as for Tier 2.

 SSC CGL Reasoning

The reasoning section of SSC CGL is extremely scoring. The difficulty level of different questions is different and hence the time taken to solve that questions is also different. Reasoning Preparation for SSC CGL 2018

The result of SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Tier 1 will soon be declared online. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently announced the date of the result as well as the tentative answer key on their official website. As per the notice, the tentative answer key will be released on September 18, 2017 and result will be out on October 31, 2017.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2017- Declaration Details:

  • Date for Tentative Answer Key: September 18, 2017
  • Date for Result: October 31, 2017

This exam was conducted by the authority from August 5, 2017 to August 23, 2017. Such a huge number of candidates appeared for this exam that it was taken in 43 batches across the country.

The paper consisted of 100 questions in total and each question was of 2 marks. Also, negative marking is also applicable and 0.50 marks will be deducted from the total for every wrong answer. The CGL Tier 1 result 2017 will be declared differently for the candidates belonging to different categories i.e. General, SC, ST, OBC and PH. All of the categories will have different qualifying marks and you will be considered selected only if you score more than the qualifying marks required as per your category.

The marks secured by candidates in SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will not be added at the time of final merit list as this exam is of qualifying nature. Candidates are just required to qualify this exam so that they may give the Tier 2 exam. Only the marks scored in Tier 2 will be considered for the further process i.e. Tier 3 and Tier 4.
